25, 2009, was an exciting day for Widows With Wisdom. Part of our
mission is to encourage widows to take care of their health. That was
promoted by us attending the recent health conference at Second Ebenezer
Church in Detroit. Our President, Minister Mary Edwards, was given an
opportunity to pose in this photograph with gospel singing sensation,
Yolanda Adams. Adams admired Edwards' hat and Edwards returned the
compliment by saying, "And I look up to you!" Easy to see why!

program that enlists African-American churches in the quest for
cancer prevention thru better nutrition. The program helps
congregations develop strategies that encourage members to eat
more fruits and vegetables and generally adopt a healthier
