With Wisdom | BIG GOD! little devil (by Minister Mary Edwards) "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (I John 4:4) Do you have big expectations for this year? I hope so because God has big things in store for you. But, for these things to come, there's something we must do. WE MUST SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN. What is the mountain in your life? In these hard economic times, it may be a miountain of debt. Perhaps you have lost a job, a house, a car, or something else that was important to you. Maybe it is a loved one and you are experiencing a mountain of grief. Is it a broken relationship and your mountain is loneliness. Are you suffering from a long-term, life-threatening illness and your mountain is fear. Did a friend let you down and you are feeling a mountain of betrayal. Whatever your setback or disappointment has been, we are told to be of good cheer (John 16:33). I want you to make a determination to laugh at least five times today. Even if you don't feel like it. I've tried it and it works. What happened to me when I did it was this. I didn't feel like laughing at first, but then I found myself laughing just because I was laughing! It's contagious. How big is your God? Mine is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent. In other words, He is almighty, all-knowing, and everywhere. So shout now: BIG GOD! little devil. And watch that mountain turn into a molehill! Then tread upon that molehill! "Jesus answered and said unto them, Verify I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done." Matthew 21:21 |
