life’s work reflects these passions for serving people.
Her background is in the areas of recreation and teaching. Johnnie’s career

Marva Dozier
“My heart
is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer” (Psa. 45:1).
You won’t find Marva Dozier dozing in the pews on Sunday
morning. That’s because Marva Dozier is a good listener and a good note taker.
What you will find on Sunday morning, at prayer meetings, and in other mid-week
services is Marva, with pen posed over paper, ready to take notes.
Being a good listener and a good note taker has its
advantages. Because of her attentiveness, Marva has gashered words of wisdom
from the mouth of her pastor, Supt. Nick S. Edwards, Sr., his wife, Mother
Regina Rose Edwards, her church mothers, especially the late Mother Louise
Reese, and other saints at church. The words of wi dom Dozier has gathered have
been published in her first book entitled, Saintly Jewels. If you want to reach
higher heights and deeper depths in the Lord? If you want to know how to apply
biblical principles to everyday practical living? Take heart! Pick some jewels –
Saintly Jewels of wisdom will refresh your soul. This little book is filled with
words of wisdom accompanied by Scriptures, because God has the last word. With
Saintly Jewels, you will be encouraged to start your day inspired and Holy Ghost
charged. Marva Dozier is a graduate of Wayne State University and Writer’s
Digest School. She is the authoS of several short stories, poetry, and Christian
plays that have been presented in various churches. Mrs. Dozier has been a
Christian since her teens and is a member of an anointed church that teaches a
positive lifestyle and God’s love constantly. Although Marva is a Detroit Public
School teacher, she has learned much from listening to her spiritual teachers.
She would love to share the gems in Saintly Jewels with you.
